quite naturally the universe is working its will through us, i suppose that makes us all travellers of some sort. however, i cannot stay put and wish to explore the world through the clean and dirt, before i die or artificial inteligence takes over, whichever comes first.

A Quiet Year, for Good Reason

As I look back on the year so far, one question lingers: why haven’t I traveled much in 2025? The answer, though simple, carries weight. This has been a year of grounding myself—of investing in the foundations that will support the life I’m building.

Foremost among these reasons is my commitment to my current job. It’s more than just a role—it’s a space where I feel energized, challenged, and genuinely fulfilled. I’ve poured myself into it with the ambition not just to succeed, but to carve out a reputation that reflects my dedication and integrity. There’s a quiet pride in doing something well, and I’ve found that here.

The second reason is more personal, and perhaps even more dear to me. I’ve been focused on improving my living situation—not just for myself, but for Reena, my cat and constant companion. She’s just over a year and a half old, and in many ways, she’s the heart of my home. Her presence brings joy, comfort, and a sense of responsibility that I cherish. I’m working toward moving into a larger space, one where she can roam freely and enjoy the comfort she deserves. It’s a small dream, but a meaningful one.

So what comes next? The itch to explore hasn’t left me—it’s only been waiting for the right moment. I’m determined to embark on at least one adventure before the year ends. Right now, I’m torn between two compelling destinations: the vibrant pulse of Colombia and the wild, untamed beauty of Botswana. Each offers something unique, and I hope to make a decision soon.

This year may have been quieter on the travel front, but it’s been rich in purpose. And the journey, in many ways, has already begun.
